On Katie Beth's birthday I woke up to her racing down the hallway, she wanted to see if she was faster now that she is 5! Katie Beth is a crazy girl. She is 5 going on 15, she is smart, she is a friend, she is beautiful, she is silly, she is special, she is funny. She loves to play Barbies, she loves to do preschool, she loves to play with her brother and sister, and she loves to go to church. Everytime she gets dressed she asks me, "mom, do you like my style?". We love our little 5 year old.

My kids look forward to this every year, a big box from Grandma and Grandpa Daughtry. It is always full of goodies, and they don't have to wait for Christmas to open it. They look for it everyday starting December 1st. Thanks for loving my babies mom and dad!! JL...you are still not off the hook. I am still waiting by the mailbox everyday at 2pm with baited breath. Rude!

Oh, and excuse the "dress", or lack of. I was still pretty sick at this point.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving has come and gone again. We got a 19 pound turkey, and ate way too much food. Yes, my kids were still in their pajamas, ok so were we. We were just grateful to have a day off work, and I was grateful to have a day to rest before Black Friday. I guess "rest" maybe isn't the right word, I didn't nap, or even bother going to bed the night of Thanksgiving. Maybe relax, or chill, would be more fitting. A 12 hour shift of craziness when you are severly sick is no bueno. My awesome boss let me leave a little early, so I survived.

Kodee is 18 months old! Woah. Time has flown by! She is starting to be a little mean, my sweet Kodee is lost. She finally had a growth spurt and doesn't look like a midget (or little person, whatever) as much anymore. She started nursery, and just had her first successful "stay by myself, with out crying, just screaming mom's name at the door, as long as the poor dude teacher holds me for 2 hours" day. I got to go to Sunday school and Relief Society, that was one of the few times since we have been married.

North Carolina

For my birthday, my amazing husband bought me a ticket to go home and visit for a week. It was a wonderful week, and went by way to quick. I didn't take near enough pictures.

The flight there was not too bad, just long. Kodee did pretty good other than crying herself to sleep for half an hour.

I got to eat lots of yummy food, but still didn't get to all the places that were on my eat list. Yes, I had an eat list. I got to eat at Chicfila, Wilbur's, Pizza Inn, Bojangles, Krispy Kreme, and Andy's. MMMMMM.

We went to the NC State Fair. The fair in North Carolina is about 10 times bigger than the "fair" here. We had a fun day of walking around burning the calories from too much fair food. Pretty sure we should have done much more walking.

I didn't get to see everybody I wanted to see. Or visit with some of the people I did get to see for only a few minutes. There is never enough time!

The flight home was hell. I went to bed at 1 am the night before and had to wake up at 3 am to make the 7 am flight out. We got to the airport only to find that the flight had been canceled due to weather in Chicago, where my layover was. They were able to put me on the 6am flight that had been delayed until 10am( all other passengers were delayed until 5pm that night, and then later canceled, so I am glad I at least got that far). Kodee fell asleep and I held her the whole time waiting for 10am. We finally boarded and there were maybe 10 people on the flight. I always complain about delayed planes thinking it is a cop-out, but never again. The flight was 3 hours long, the last hour getting to Chicago was like riding a roller coaster. I love roller coasters. But not while barfing in a tiny bag, while holding a crying baby. I'll pass. I have never gotten motion sickness before, but the flight was crazy. We had a half hour layover where I was able to get a motion sickness pill(that cost me 10 bucks..rude! take advantage of the poor sick people? I would have paid double), which pretty much knocks you out, and finish my "sickness" layed out on the airport bathroom floor. I managed to get myself on the plane and survive the last three hours of travel. I asked for a cup of ice and Kodee entertained herself with that while I fought to keep my head from falling over. I later learned we were the last flight allowed out of Chicago due to the worst winds they have had in 7 decades. Not a part of history I was excited to be there for.

Finally on a plane and still sleeping!!

I was so happy to see my Brian, and my little Kai and Katie Beth. I promised them that if they were good while I was gone, I would take them to a special place when I got back. So, we had to hurry and get to there places before they closed, since I was way later getting back than we had planned. Katie Beth got to go to Build a Bear, and Kailer got to go to a train store. I forgot to take pictures of Kai because I was so out of it.

Two days before my birthday, my friend Ralph at Scoresby Farms gifted me with 157 ears of corn. I spent 8 hours the next day (not including clean up, sorry Bri, I really couldn't move my fingers) shucking, washing, blanching, cutting, bagging, and freezing all that corn. I ended up with 27 quart size bags of yummy sweet corn in my freezer. Can you believe I actually can do something semi-housewifery? Me either.

I had another birthday. Other than feeling suddenly like and old woman, it was a great day. We went and got take out, who wants to deal with the stress of three kids in a restaurant on their birthday? While we were waiting for our dinner we walked around K-mart since we haven't been there in years (and really probably won't go back for a few more). Katie Beth found this pinkie pie costume and decided she wanted to change her Halloween plans. Too bad. She already chose Princess Peach last week, so she settled with just a picture of herself as a Pony. Day with my cute little family, yummy Jaliscos for dinner and a chocolate chip cookie cake for dessert. What's better?

Brian turned 30! Old huh?
He really does feel old. And so do I. For some reason we aged a lot this year, maybe just in our heads, but we all of a sudden feel like old folks. We will get past it, don't you worry.

Brian's parents came for his birthday. We had a little cook out and his favorite cake, better than sex cake. We were a little nervous about the 30 lit candles that created a ball of fire, but everyone survived, and we had no visits from the fire department. Wonderful.

Just wanted to give a small shout out to my handsome husband. I love you Bri, and if we are old now, I want to grow really really old together. Thank you for all you do. Stop making me look bad. HAHAHA.

My dad came for a surprise visit last week. I didn't get any pics of him and the kiddos. GRRR. While he was here we went to the greenbelt and fed the ducks. We hadn't done that yet this summer so the kids were super excited. Usually when we go the ducks have had so much bread they are too lazy to swim over to get more, but this time tons of them swam over as soon as we broke out the bread.

Back to School! Kai is in Mrs. McCammon's PM class and we love her. We had a meeting with her, the school psychologist, the resource teacher, the speech therapist and the occupational therapist last week. Kailer seems to be cruising right along. He hasn't had any issues, he is ahead in the curriculum and he loves school. What a sigh of relief. I am so happy this is going to be a great year for him. I wish I would have gotten a picture of him lined up with his class, he is taller by at least a foot than all the other kids in his class. Kailer is such a good kid, we love him!!

INL Summer Picnic

Brian's annual work picnic was in July. The kids always look forward to it and start asking when it is as soon as July fourth is over. We drove all the way to the fair grounds for it a week early this year. We got there and realized that we (Brian) had gotten the dates mixed up. So back to Idaho Falls we traveled with three screaming children. When we finally got to go the next weekend the kids had an awesome time again. They had their faces painted, jumped on a million blow up castles, including one with a water slide and one that was a hot air balloon, got to spray and run through a fire hose, and ate way too many snow cones and cotton candies.

When my mom was here, we took the kids to the splash park in Rexburg. They didn't seem to enjoy it as much this summer. Kai was ready to go after being there for not even an hour. Katie Beth finally went down the slide for the first time and survived, but she didn't want to do it again, or do anything much really. Kodee loved it and had a good time playing in the little spouts on the ground. Either way, it was nice being back in Rexburg a few hours for a little visit. We went on campus for lunch, and I think that was probably their favorite part of the trip. The food. What's new?

We had a great day celebrating Independence Day. For dinner, we had our traditional meal of hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, watermelon, and later we did s'mores by the fire pit in the backyard. We went to Fort Hall to buy fireworks this year, and we had a pretty good show in our front yard. We had two or three "mishaps", but we all lived, so that's good news. We missed my brother this year, he is usally here visiting during the fourth, but couldn't come this year because of work. My mom was able to come for a week though, so we had a great July fourth and a great week!

We refilled the sand box this summer and the kids have rediscovered the fun, and we have loved finding sand in every crevice of our house.

Teacher Appreciation

For teacher appreciation week at Kai's school next week, I was asked to decorate his teacher's door. I had big plans, but after hassling far too long with the cricut, I just ran out and bought die cut balloons, put a little curled ribbon on each one, cut out some letters, and voila...
I am sure it won't be the most impressive door at the school, but I am also sure the teacher's appreciate being appreciated. Mrs. Jensen is the bessst teacher ever, so we sure do appreciate her!

Ps. Kensi..I did do the cake, but since I changed my mind about doing more cricuting at 3am, I used it for Kodee's birthday. You can see it when I get around to that post...thanks girl!

Oh my. I can not believe a whole year has gone by and my baby is having a birthday. Her first year went by way faster than how I remember the other two's. It's nuts. A year ago right now I was giving birth to my sweet little girl, it seems comprehensible that it has been that long and gone by so fast.
Kodee is amazing. She is so easy to love. She is just a perfect little girl. I love the way she says mama and the way she howls like a wolf, and her fake laugh when she wants attention. I love her chubby thighs and her tiny feet. I love that she loves her family and that she is happy and healthy. I am so grateful for KoKo. I can not imagine not having her in our family.
If only I could slow down this time thing that's going on..

New Wheels

Kailer has "new wheels", no training wheels!! I just decided to take them off one day, grab the camera, and see what happened. He wouldn't even have fell if that darn scooter wasn't in the way. The video is of the very first time he rode with no training wheels. Now he can start by himself and hasn't fallen hardly at all. Way to go Kai-man!

11 months

Kodee is 11 months already...I am dreading the next month. I don't want her to turn 1 already. She is such a perfect baby. Kodee is so sweet and funny. Now she can:

~Say lots of sounds, but not mama. If I say mama, she says dada. How rude.
~Creep along all the furniture in the house, but no walking yet.
~Stand for periods of time without holding on to anything.
~Open lots of drawers and dump out all the contents.
~Stay really small...she is still a tiny little thing. Size 2 shoes are still too big for her, but she is in a 6-9 months now though!
~Grow a little hair. Not much, but I have noticed a little difference in the past month.
~Teethe! She has 6 teeth, 4 on the bottom, 2 on top. I think her other 2 on top are starting to want to come down too.
~Drink lots of sippy's of milk. I stopped nursing her, and she did great. She especially loves it when daddy adds a little Nesquik.
~Hang out with Kailer and Katie Beth, she tries to follow them around everywhere. They just run away laughing.
~Take 1 really long nap instead of 2. But she still sleeps 12 hours at night so I can't complain.
~Still suck on those fingers...she always has a rash on the left side of her face because she sucks her fingers to death when she is sleeping, and then lays in her drool all night.

Kailer is 6!

Boy do I feel old! Kailer is 6 years old. He has been sick with laryngitis, so we had to cancel his Super Mario Brother's friend party this Saturday. We were so sad. I was sad because I had put so much time and money preparing for it, and I felt sad for Kailer. Kailer was sad for the obvious reason. He had been talking about his party for 3 months. Since he was sick, we didn't do much. He opened his presents, we sang Happy Birthday, and we had cake. By far, the most low key birthday we have had at our house. He still told me, "mom, this is the best birthday ever.", so I am glad he at least felt special on his day. Here are a few pictures. Don't judge the "cake". It was my first attempt to make a birthday cake instead of just buy one. The cupcakes are supposed to be Super Mario Mushrooms. I tried, and Kailer loved it, so that is enough for me.

Kailer is such a special boy. He has improved sooo much in the last year. He loves school, and has done excellent this year. He is right on target for where he should be. He is still struggles with his fine motor skills, but he is doing much better. Kailer loves primary now, and I am grateful that he has wonderful teachers. He is excited every Sunday to go to their class. Kailer is a friend to everyone, but he loves Josh and Jovanni. He talks about them all the time. He loves the wii, and loves any thing to do with Mario and Luigi. He is so good at the wii, better than mom and dad most days. He still loves his trains, but isn't as obsessive about them as he used to be. Kailer is an awesome big brother. He loves his little sisters so much and is always looking out for them. He gets upset if he thinks they are doing something that might hurt them or get them in trouble. He is so sweet with baby Kodee. He follows her around the house until she does something naughty, and then picks her up and tells her "no no Kodee", and takes her to play in her room. I am waiting for him to drop her since he is dying laughing when he does it. He has once loose tooth, that seems like it will never fall out. He is still a big boy. When we took him to the doctor this week, he weighed 63 pounds, and I am pretty sure he is the tallest 6 year old I know. We love Kailer and can't wait to see what his future holds.

I miss my best friend.

Her mom tagged this picture of us on facebook, which I haven't seen since it was taken about 9 years ago. Not the best picture of either of us but she is my best friend and any picture of us together is perfect.

Memories came flooding back to me. All our good times together, I couldn't even begin to try and list them all..I just wouldn't know where to start.

She is one of a kind. I love her.

I wish I could find more friends like her.
I wish we lived closer.
I wish we talked more.
I wish she knew how much I love her and miss her.

I am so grateful that even though I have been away for 9 years, we really are still best friends. I don't know if I'll ever move back to North Carolina, and I am pretty sure she will never move to Idaho. I do know, however, that we will always be the best of friends.

Kodee is 10 months old. Time is going by way to fast!

She is just starting to grow a little hair, we are still about 7 years from a pony tail, but I will give her a little credit for the few strands that have grown a millimeter or two.

She has started waving hello, but I am pretty sure she thinks we are crazy when we randomly say hello and wave really big to her.

She can play peek-a-boo. She puts her head down on the ground, face down, and then sits up really fast and laughs when we say peek-a-boo.

She gives perfect open mouth slobbery kisses.

She has started using sounds. Although she has only said dada once, and mama only once. Grrr. She loves to talk and she loves to hear herself be loud. Boy can she be loud!

She has 2 bottom teeth, 2 more bottom teeth that just broke through, and 2 top teeth that are coming. This makes her understandably grumpy every now and then.

She loves her sippy cups of water, she chugs them down. Thank goodness, she mastered that one.

She loooves Kailer, she gets so excited when she sees him get off the bus everyday. She goes crazy. She thinks Katie Beth is weird and just looks at her like she is a freak. Glad she figured that one out too.

She loooves her mommy. Ok and her daddy. But she is really attached to mommy. Really.

Kodee is just a happy sweet little baby. We love her and we wish she would stay this age for a little longer.

Valentine's Day

I made the kids Valentine's Day mailboxes this year. They loved them. Kailer's had a super mario mushroom, and Katie Beth's had a cupcake. They spent the whole week making Valentine's for their boxes, who knew it would keep them that busy? Awesome!

Sadie's Hat

The kids were in the kitchen yelling at each other about something, so Brian went in to see what was going on. They were upset because they said Sadie's hat had blown over the fence and into our yard. They were so worried about Sadie needing her hat. Then they started fighting about who was going to get it. Brian told them that Kailer could go get it, and Katie Beth could take it over to her house. So Kailer threw on his jacket and trudged through the snow to save Sadie's hat. When he got to it, he found Katie Beth's birthday balloon. What a let down. Katie Beth said, "Well I just wanted to see my balloon in the sky, really honey. I'll just color Sadie a picture honey.". So Sadie, we got your back girl!

100th day

Kailer had his 100th day of school a little while back. Scary for me, that means school letting out is a lot closer than I am comfortable with. Yikes! He had such a fun day. All their activities for the day revolved around 100. He had to bring a special show and tell item that had 100 pieces, so he made a necklace with 100 beads. I am so glad that Kailer loves school!

Kodee is 9 months old! That is so crazy to me. When we went to her check up, she was 27 inches, and weighed in at a whopping 15 pounds 4 ounces. So she is in the 38th percentile for her height, and only the 5th percentile for her weight. Doctor Smith said she is just a healthy little peanut. As long as at her 12 month appointment she is at least in the 5th percentile, we shouldn't be worried. It's so weird that she is so small, since we call her musha because we think she is fat. He he he.

Kodee loves to eat. She eats soooo much, another reason why it's so hard to believe that she is so small. She eats and eats. She loves for me to give her lots of finger foods so she can feed herself. She will only drink out of a sippy cup if I will hold her, she refuses to do it herself. Smart girl. ;)

She loves to talk back. She hasn't mastered any sounds yet, but she does do a lot of talking, and yelling!

She loves to laugh. She is a happy girl and is always in a good mood ready to play. She knows how to have a good time!

She loves her brother and sister, especially Kailer. She just lights up and smiles and starts bouncing when they walk by. She is still a mommy's girl, but she get's excited for daddy too. She has started some serious stranger anxiety lately too.

She is everywhere! I can't keep up with her! We have to be so so careful about what the kids laying around, especially in their rooms.

She pulls up on everything, and we just can't imagine her walking in a few months with those little peg legs. Then I know she will really give me a run for my money.

She is really interested in toys and how they work. She can entertain herself in her room for longer periods of time, and then she sneaks out and I have to run after her.

We love our little musha. What a sweet, perfect little baby you are KoKo.

Katie Beth's birthday!

Katie Beth's birthday was Jan 7th. She had a fun day and got lots of cool presents. Katie Beth is a beautiful little girl, and she is a drama mama. Katie Beth is super silly and makes the funniest faces and has the cutest expressions. She talks like she is a teenager, and thinks she is one most days. She has an attitude and is always into something. Even though she is wild, and makes us a little crazy, we still think she is a pretty cool kid, and we don't really mind having her around. ;) She is Kailer's best friend, and lately, daddy's little girl. She graduated out of nursery this year and is in junior primary now. She loves church and her teachers and friends there. She loves to eat. Everything. She loves tacos and she loves fruit. She loves to play games, and loves my little pony. Kay Bay has an amazing imagination, and talks to her self a lot. :) She still hasn't gotten her "first hair cut". So it is long and stringy, but I just haven't felt the need to do anything else with it. Katie Beth looks a lot like me, and pretty much is me. I think that is why she drives me nuts. Lately, she says really in every sentence. "I'm just hungry, really." She is just Katie Beth, and we love her.

Wow! Time is flying by way too fast! 8 months is crazy. Kodee is amazing. She is so perfect. 8 months has brought lots of new tricks from musha...

She can finally sit up with out help and with out holding her self up with her arm. Finally.

She is pulling up on everything, and has almost mastered getting back down. She has taken a few steps, creepin along the couch, but mostly she just stands there and bounces. She is a busy body and is always crawling around getting into something.

She has 2 bottom teeth. 2 more are on the way. She hasn't been too bad of a teether. She gets a low grade fever and gets a little grumpy, but don't we all?

She is so small. She has grown, I can tell by her clothes, but she is so petite compared to our other two kids.

She laughs a lot. I love it.

She sleeps 13 hours throught the night. Her naps are shorter and less frequent now but I really can't complain.

She eats more that her weight every day. Seriously the girl can chow.

She loves playing with her brother and sister in her room. They don't mind either.

She has graduated out of the baby bath. Now I can put just a little water in the tub and she can sit and play or crawl around.

Brian and I had our 7th anniversary on the 27th. It wasn't too much of a celebration since it was on a Sunday, but we had a nice dinner and were able to spend time together. I am so grateful for my eternal marriage. I am so blessed to be a part of a wonderful marriage. We are both so far from perfect but I think we are perfect for each other. I love you Bri!

I will continue the story a little every year and hopefully by the time we are celebrating our 50th, we will have our story on paper. I should have done this long ago, I am sure I am leaving out lots of details..oh well.

So after we met that first day, me and one of my roommates, Tabby, went to his apartment to drop of his jacket. He invited both of us over for breakfast the next morning. He made us a big breakfast with homemade strawberry syrup. yum! I didn't hear from him for a few days, so I thought maybe he liked me as a friend, but not really anything more. Really he thought I would never go for him. One day I was over at another boys apartment and my roommate, Mandi came over and said. "Brian is at our apartment, and I know he totally likes you, so you have to get over there now, c'mon!" The girls had been telling me that he had called and came by and he really hadn't, just to pick on me. So I told her if she was lieing I would kill her. We walked over and he was there for real. He just said he had to run to Broulim's really fast and wondered if I wanted to tag along. He had been working a lot and didn't really have time for anything, but really wanted to see me again. I went with him and then we we got back to his apartment, he started putting away his groceries. It was so random that my skin was crawling, so I completely reorganized his kitchen while he got ready for work. We he took me home, he asked me on a date to Johnny Carino's the next night. The next day, he picked me up from class and we drove to Idaho Falls. I actually paid for dinner because I had a gift card to there and I thought it was dumb to have him pay money, when I could just use the gift card I had sitting in my wallet for so long. After we went to the mall to walk off our lunch. I remember we went to American Eagle and I helped him pick out 2 shirts. On the way out of the mall, I grabbed his hand and we held hands on the drive home. I kissed him that night too. ;)

The Best Christmas Ever!

Kailer keeps saying.. "Mom this was the best Christmas ever.", and it really was. We had such a wonderful Christmas season. We love Christmas.

He read me the poem about Mother's and the kids gave me my flowers and gift. It was a mother's ring, not something I have ever wanted before. It was so sweet and I love it. I love my family.

Christmas Eve is always a very special day for our family. I love Christmas Eve.
Every year we...

get to open one present. Any present. It doesn't have to be jammies and it's not just for the kids. I opened bacon. That's right bacon. I about died laughing. Really? Bacon? I should hate you Brian. Instead I love you more because you gave me nasty bacon.

make reindeer food and sprinkle it on the lawn for the reindeer. The next day, our lawn was green again (from the green sprinkles that colored the snow).

make chocolate chip cookies for santa. They go on the corner of the piano with a tall glass of milk. Santa loves our cookies and milk.

read the Christmas story. We were only going to read 10 verses and we got through 43 with out pulling our hair out. Now I know how long my kids can really sit still.

and have a big yummy dinner. We do our holiday meal on Christmas Eve so that Christmas we can just have a fun day of playing with the kids, taking long naps, eating leftovers, and spending lots of time together.

Little musha Kodee is 7 months already. Time is flying and I hate it! She continues to be the best baby in the world. She is happy and smiley and sweet and cuddly and beautiful and mmmm we just love her. She loves loves to eat. I mean like you wouldn't believe. She eats all day and never gets full. I mean really baby girl? Slow down! She can feed herself finger foods, she figured that one out pretty quick. When she cries if she's angry her mouth is completely shut (she just makes me laugh), and when she smiles it is wide open. She crawls everywhere now and has discovered door stops, they make her smile. :) Ko Ko is pulling herself up more and more everyday. Today we had to lower her crib so she didn't flip out of it. She still won't sit up, if I sit her up, she will stay for a while, but she just doesn't get it yet. We think it's her peg legs. ;) She is getting too big too fast! I love my perfect little bambino!

I ran out to run out to get a few last minute things the night before we left for Utah to go to Brian's families house for Thanksgiving. When I came back, Kailer was so excited to show me that he had packed for Grandma's house all by himself. He had all these bags half filled with random things. His clothes bag had his train hat, a pair of shorts, a pair of underwear, 2 pajama bottoms, 2 t shirts, and 2 mismatched socks (one of which was my dirty "cupcake" sock). It took me longer to "unpack" than it did to "repack". Oh Kailer.

New Moon was awesome! 14 of us girls went out to eat at Olive Garden and then headed over to wait in a looong line to get in the theatre. Surprisingly, when we got there they were calling our theatre so me and Camille we able to go right in and save seats for the rest of the girls until they could make it in. Once we got in, we just chatted for 3 hours until the movie started. What a great night with the girls. I only have pics of my shirt(yes that is puff paint) and I am waiting for more pics in an email(emhemm..Camille?).

Kodee is 6 months old already. I can't believe in another 6 months she will be 1. SAD!
At 6 months old Kodee::

is almost crawling, she goes 2 "steps", goes flat on the floor, gets up, and does it again and again until she is where she wants to be..

can "crawl" out of her room..

has started teething, no teeth yet, but they are on their way..

loves to eat, she eats 2 step 2 baby food's a day, and still nurses all the time..

is still a wonderful sleeper..ahh..i love that one..

calls me by saying ahhhhh in the highest pitch and the loudest she can..

We skipped out on the pumpkin patch this year, we cheated and ran down to Fred Meyer instead. But...we found pretty much the most perfect pumpkin ever! We decided just to carve one big one this year and have the kids paint lots of little pumpkins. We love fall!

Boo at the Zoo

Me and the girls took a trip last weekend down to Utah to visit with my old young women's leader and a few other AWESOME friends. We had a wonderful time catching up, and we can't wait for our next trip! While we were there, we took the kids to Boo at the Zoo at the Hogle Zoo. My camera died like 5 minutes after we got there so I only have a few pics..:(

At the train show Aman Chabra asked me if he could ask me a few questions about the train show. I was dumb enough to say yes. The questions he asked were impossible to answer intelligently, and then my answers got pieced together. The kids did look pretty cute and really enjoyed seeing themselves on the news. I on the other hand looked like a freak and it pretty much ruined my life. I still stop breathing when I think about it.

I turned 26 on Thursday (thanks mom for convincing me that I wasn't turning 27!). We had a fun day and that night we had cake and an awesome party. Check out the great fun we had with our party hats. Katie Beth decided that I turned into a "merrycorn" on my birthday, so she was convinced my party hat was my horn...lovely. Oh and sorry honey, your "madge" party hat picture didn't make the cut.

The kids wanted to have a camp out in the backyard this week. So we got out the hotdogs, s'mores, and the kids sleeping bags and had a wonderful time "camping out"....for an hour.

First Hair Cut

Not for Kodee. Not really for Katie Beth either...she had this huge knot in her hair. I tried for over a week to brush it out, and it was just getting worse, so I finally gave in and had to cut it out. Luckily the chunk of short hair is on the inside so you can't see it.

5 months old...holy cow!

I can't believe it's been 5 months since I had our little musha. She is seriously the best baby ever. We love her and we just eat her up. Here are a few things that we want to remember about our Kodee when she was 5 months old.

-She looooves to eat. She hasn't eaten anything that she doesn't like. I give her stage 1 baby foods and she cries after because she has eaten the whole jar and wants more. Then she wants to nurse. I guess she needs something to watch it down with.

-She is so mobile. She rolls everywhere, she gets on all fours and lunges her self forward, and sometimes she lays on her back and scoots with her legs. We are in for a real treat when she starts crawling.

-She still sleeps throught the night. Every night. And takes several good naps a day.

-She is a mommy's girl. Which I am grateful for, I don't know what I would do if she liked Brian more than me. :)

-She has the best smile and laugh. We can't get enough.

We love you baby Kodee. Stop growing already!

Apparently Kai has hairy lips since he decided to shave them with daddies razor on Sunday.

We were all ready for church and waiting for Kai to get out of the shower so we could leave, and out he comes with his lips pouring blood.

Needless to say, only half of us made it to church.

His poor lips bled pretty heavy for a couple of hours, and then trickled for another hour or so.
