twin bridges

On Sunday after church we went to the Twin Bridges camp site, about half an hour away. We started a little fire and had hobo's, hot dogs, and s'mores (really just marshmallows..it was so hot outside all the Hersey bars melted before we were ready to eat them). We played in the water for a couple of hours and it was so relaxing. It's a great spot for the kids..the deepest water only comes up to my waist, the water is crystal clear and there is a boat dock for everybody to hang out on. There are also picnic tables and tons of places for camp fires. It was sooo much fun!

So after we took the kids for pizza and snow cones we took a walk on the greenbelt and let the kids play in the water by the boat ramps. Its not the most desirable place to be..but they loved it.

We took the kids to Crossroads Pizza..we heard it was pretty good and as we all know Kai is obsessed with trains and they have a train that goes around the top of the restaurant. It did not disappoint..it was so yummy and kept the kids entertained the whole time. Uncle JL taught the kids how to dip their pizza in parmesan cheese and now that's the only way they will eat it. It makes such a mess..thanks JL! After pizza we took them to The Caboose shaved ice place across from the green belt. Kai loved playing on the train car and the snow cones were awesome.

My brother JL came for a visit on the 24th...he instantly bonded with Bojangles, our cat that we were giving away the next day. Poor kitty got a love torture session..it was all JL could do to hold on to him, but hold on he did!

goose egg

kai fell while jumping off his bed and got a humungo goose egg for it. the pictures don't really show how bad it was..but it basically took up the whole left side of his forehead. and of coarse he had to have a band-aid..

this one was chelsie hightower..who is one of my top 3 favorite dancers this season, and her partner mark..
their style was hip-hop..
it's about a workaholic and his lovely little lady..
and they pretty much rocked it..
