My days of Kohls have finally come to an end. Saturday was my last day after almost 2 years. I will miss all my peeps and I am so happy that I have so many things to look back and laugh at.

The Dentist

Kailer and Katie Beth went to their first dentist appointment on Friday.  We were really nervous about it and had been talking it up for days.  Every time we mentioned it Kai ran away.  On Friday morning we got up and got ready for the day, then went to an early lunch at "crossings", one of Kai's favorite places to eat.  Then we went to Wal-Mart and the kids got to pick one toy to take with them to the dentist.  Then we journeyed on the the dentist and told the kids we would go bowling as soon as we were done.  The dentist was awesome!  If anyone needs a good recommendation..you must go to Dr. Brett and Randy Smith!  They had a train table, a 2 story tree house, and lots of other toys for them to play with.  We went back after filling out all the paperwork and the kids both had there teeth cleaned and flossed, and a fluoride treatment, and a check up with Dr. Smith.  I was so relieved to find out that they had perfect strong teeth.  I was sadly shocked to hear that.  We went bowling afterwards like we promised and had a wonderful day.  When I asked the kids about the dentist later they were so excited about their experience and said they want to go again tomorrow.  I am such a happy mom!  I didn't get any pics because I was so worried of the impending drama I totally forgot it.  Next time:)

Katie Beth's 3rd birthday

Katie Beth turned 3 on January 7th! I can not believe that she is already 3 years old. In another 3 years she will be 6 and in school. It's crazy how fast they grow up. I know one day I'll be a little old lady watching her raise her family so I'm trying to enjoy everyday that I can.

6 Years

While we were in NC Brian and I celebrated our 6th anniversary. He sent me a dozen roses that morning and that night we went out to dinner at Texas Steakhouse and left the kids at home. I can hardly believe that it has been 6 years. I love you baby. Thanks for everything. I don't have any of our "stories" written down so I'm gonna take a deep breath and try to remember the story of how we met.

I had been dating lots of guys at BYU-Idaho and I hated them all:) I came home after a date 0n May 8th, 2002 and told my roomates that I was done with dudes. I didn't want to date ever again and didn't even want to sit beside one in class. And my missionary..it was over! The next day, we went to a concert on campus and when we got home there were three dudes sitting in our living room. We all came in the door and I just said with a frownsmile.."Who are you?". They then preceeded to tell us that one of them was dating a girl that lived in the apartment the previous semester, but she was off track so she was home in Oregon at the time. They had just come to pick up some stuff she had left for him (which wasn't really there). We all talked for about an hour. They noticed that we had about 200 DVD's but no DVD player. Brian said that everybody in his apartment had a personal DVD player and one shared one so he invited me to go back with them to their apartment and borrow his for a while. So the 3 boys and me drove over in his roomates little 4 seater purple car to his apartment. There was no where for me to sit so I just sat on Brian's lap. We went in for a tour of their apartment, and then Brian and I hopped in his hot dodge stratus, he said he was hungry and asked if I wanted to go to Subway with him or if I just wanted him to drop me off at home. I of coarse went to Subway with him, he was so polite and opened the doors for me and bought me dinner. After that he drove me home and I was holding the DVD player on top of his jacket in my lap, and when I got out I "accidentally" took both. When I got home I told my roomies that I thought he was a super nice guy but I would probably never see him again. But I guess I took care of that when I stole his jacket..

There you have it..the day I met my hubbie:)

Here are some pictures of when we were engaged. They have already been scrapbooked and we took them before the days of digital cameras so what you see is what you get:)

Our Trip To NC

Photobucket
We were in North Carolina from the 25th until the 5th. We had a wonderful time spending time with family and friends. We didn't get to see everybody that we wanted to see and the ones we did get to see we weren't able to spend near enough time with. We will definately need another trip back home soon! The food was sooo good. And so was the weather. The second day we were there is was 76 degrees! Holy Cow! We were able to go to the beach for a day and that was so exciting for the kids. The only downer of the trip was that my camera broke about three and a half minutes after we got to NC so I wasn't able to take any pics at all. Sadest story ever. Poop.
